Our Accomplishments

  • In 2010 AZLCV worked hard putting boots on the ground and running independent campaigns on behalf of friendly legislators and candidates.
  • In 2010 we held our first annual Earth Night event in Phoenix. Click here for more information.
  • In 2009 the League supported successful initiatives to expand tax incentives for renewable energy businesses and to incentivize energy efficiency for Arizona's schools.
  • In 2008, the League endorsed and supported 42 general election candidates, 34 of them won (81%).
  • We helped pass four clean energy laws and one important clean air law in 2007.
  • We helped create a water district to help protect the San Pedro River.
  • Legislative Advocacy - Track legislation all session long and produce our annual legislative scorecard to allow members, the media and the general public to have unbiased, fact based information about their elected officials. Our scorecard holds our representatives accountable for their actions.
  • Electoral Work - Maintain our political action committee that directly supports pro-conservation candidates.
